What it is not for
- Anyone who wants it to stay bright. Unlacquered brass goes brown within weeks and dark within a year.
- Long writing sessions if you dislike a heavy pen. It is twice the weight of the resin version.
- Pressure-sensitive or carbon-copy forms. The nib does not press through.
- Sitting uncapped on a desk. A steel nib dries out in about 20 minutes.
Care
Flush with room-temperature tap water when you change ink or every six weeks. Wipe the nib and section after a fill. Store nib-up if you will not write for a week. The brass needs nothing; polish it with any brass polish if you want the shine back.
